So I’m starting up another painting. This time of my all time favorite actor Elijah Wood… I’ve followed his work since I was a kid and had that favorite actor thing… And I guess he’s kind of stuck :) Recently he was in the remake horror film Maniac, where he made a great impression, hens this subject. So here’s my quick sketch before I start painting, where I’ve put down the shaped and defined the different planes… It’s done on an poster board with a gesso surface. I’ll throw myself to the mercy of the Airbrush again and hope it goes well…

I have now finished my first airbrush poster. It has been a long time coming and I’ve learned so much making this, that I can’t wait NOT to make the same mistakes again…

The Poster is of the podcast “Tell’em Steve-Dave” a part of the Smodcast family, which is being recorded in the Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, Red Bank, NJ. Where I was fortunate enough to meet them, some time ago. It includs: Bryan Johnson, Walter Flanagan, Brian Quinn, Mike Zapcic and Ming Chen.
They can also be seen on AMCs Comicbook Men (Quinn on another show called “Impractical Jokers airing on TrueTV), which also is recorded in the Secret Stash.

The poster has now been packed up and shipped - I’m sending it to the Secret Stash - and hopefully they’ll enjoy it.

Along with the finished piece, I’ve attached the process: sketching, airbrushing and color penciling (I’ve drawn inspiration from the amazing work of Drew Struzan) and I hope you find it inspiring. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

So my sunday is a double screening of The Little mermaid and Aliens (not officially a double screening - but they were showing both), and that created some odd images in my head. Decided to draw one of them. Guess it’s okay to seperate them - however masterful they both are…

Hope you are enjoying your sunday.

I’m a - as some might have noticed - a huge Tell’em Steve-Dave fan, and when doodling stuff I really enjoy drawing for something I like. So here’s fan poster for TESD, spreading the word… And sexygirl does seem to get peoples attentions.

But in all seriousness. This really is a great podcast, and I highly recommend everyone to take a listen (episode 97 is a great one to start with).

There’s the original version and a PG13 ;)

Okay, so today I did a drawing of Black cat and I figured some might like to see the progress of the drawing. So here it is :)

1: The idea and sketching - I did a few and ended up with this pose, which I kind of liked.

2: I draw another drawing, where I figure out the exact drawing - muscles, perspective act.

3: Line drawing

4:Coloring

5: Coloring the lines (Which is the final drawing)

Hope you enjoy this post!
